New Delhi: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday announced that it would be mandatory for truck drivers to have an air-conditioned cabin in the near future. Trucks will have AC cabins from 2025Truck drivers drive in harsh temperatures of 43/47 degrees. After becoming Transport Minister, I was keen to introduce AC cabins. Now all truck cabins will be AC cabins. Transport Minister also said that there is a shortage of drivers in India, as a result of which truck drivers work for 14-16 hours a day.
