Truck loses load after striking bridge at SilverstreamColin Williams The cleanup of oil after a truck's load was knocked off under the Silverstream rail bridgeAnother truck has struck the notoriously low-slung railway bridge at Silverstream in the Hutt Valley on Monday, despite the bridge's clearance being increased in January last year. The truck, believed to be a Nikau Constructions vehicle, had its load knocked off its tray and this included a motor engine which spilled oil on the Stokes Valley side of the bridge. Traffic in the area was further affected because of a three-car crash on the Silverstream road bridge, near the intersection of State Highway 2 and the bridge soon after the first accident.
