Our Special CorrespondentLiluah: A cyclist in his 40s died after a truck hit him in Liluah, Howrah, on Sunday morning. People of the area gave chase and stopped the truck. Around 10am, the man, whose identity is still to be established, was cycling down the road in Kona in the Liluah police station area when the truck hit him from behind, the police said. The truck driver tried to speed away but people, some on two-wheelers, gave chase and managed to stop him, the police said. A group of 50-odd people surrounded the truck and dragged out the driver and started thrashing him, the police said.
