File PhotoThe incident took place at the Technical intersection in Mirpur around 7am Tuesday, said Darus Salam police OC Md Selimuzzaman. The victim is 35-year-old Abdul Mojid, a constable. Mojid signalled the truck to stop at the intersection but it proceeded and hit him, according to OC Selim. He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said Bacchu Mia, a sub-inspector at the DMCH police outpost. The truck was seized but the driver managed to flee.
