A £16 million project will see improvements made in Manvers Street, Fore Street and Wicker Hill, with the first phase starting on Monday, January 15, 2024. According to the council, the aim for Fore Street and the Wicker Hill area is to provide a better space for pedestrians and better linkage between the town centre and railway station. This will involve widening the footpaths, allowing for new open space areas on Wicker Hill with additional tree planting and seating. Manvers Street, Fore Street and Wicker Hill are the next areas in Trowbridge to benefit from improvements in Trowbridge town centre. “Local people are already benefiting from the improvements made at the junction of Church Street and Union Street, and more recently at Castle Street.
