There are calls for an investigation as to why £5,000 was awarded to a rugby club for a play park. Cllr Antonio Piazza says Trowbridge Rugby Club was given £5,000 by Trowbridge Area Board towards relocating and equipping the play area, part of the Doric Park scheme. “The applicant approached Trowbridge Area Board on 17 March 2022 requesting the sum of £5,000 to support the project and the Area Board voted in favour of this request. “Trowbridge Area Board councillors voted objectively and with trust that the applicant was providing accurate information that was truthful. I will be raising this issue again with the Cabinet at Wiltshire Council and also with Trowbridge Town Council.
