Trowbridge knitters keep unwanted pets warm this Christmas

Harry Edmunds of BeeTees café and bar said he has found the paw-fect opportunity to help people in Trowbridge learn a new skill and make some friends along the way, all while working together for a great cause. Keen to help Wiltshire's cats and dogs keep warm this winter, Harry formed a 'knit and natter' group and opened up his cafe as a space to help make blankets that can be donated to Bath Cats and Dogs home. BeesTrees cafe and bar on Market Street becomes a knitting haven on Thursday mornings, as a dedicated group of knitters work together to create as many blankets as possible of possible. Lora Taylor, fundraising coordinator of the Bath and Cats Home, was delighted to hear about the project which has already provided dozens of blankets for unwanted pets in Wiltshire. We allocate a blanked for each pet that is looking for a new home and the blanket goes with them when they are rehomed," she said.
