Troubled Ferguson Marine splash out £300k on branded uniforms despite delayed ferries

Troubled nationalised shipyard Ferguson Marine has been slated after running up a huge £300k bill on branded uniforms. Workers there have been unable to finish the Glen Sannox and Glen Rosa which were initially due to have been handed over to CalMac in 2019. There was hope that the Glen Sannox would be completed by the end of the year but it has been beset with more issues and delays meaning it is unlikely to be ready for the winter season. Now it has been revealed that officials at Ferguson Marine forked out more than £300k on branded uniforms, a bill which has been labelled "staggering." According to a freedom of information request, a total of £303,391 has been spent on branded clothing at the yard since 2018.
