A satellite image of Tropical Cyclone Seroja, captured as it was heading to the WA coast. The destructive, fast-moving Tropical Cyclone Seroja made landfall on the coast of Western Australia overnight, bringing wind gusts of up to 170kmh with it. Carnarvon's historic One Mile Jetty was one of the first casualties of the cyclone, reportedly ripped apart around lunchtime on Sunday (local time). A severe weather warning was also issued for Monday for parts of the Greater Perth, Goldfields-Midlands, Great Southern, and Midwest-Gascoyne regions. "This is a rare weather event for people in southern and eastern parts of Western Australia."
