Over the past 11 months, Tripura police have arrested 13 Nigerians attempting to cross over into Bangladesh. The Nigerians were not carrying any legal documents to enter Bangladesh, says South Tripura police, according to The Sentinel Assam. The Nigerians were attempting to cross over from Belonia in South Tripura into Feni in Bangladesh. Naochinamore Akene, 30, was detained by South Tripura police. Beckenmeo’s interrogation at Belonia jail by South Tripura police revealed nothing of substance.
