Tripoli Court of Appeal convicts eight employees at Wahda Bank


The Tripoli Court of Appeal has issued verdicts convicting eight employees of the Sawani branch of Wahda Bank for their involvement in the misappropriation of public funds. According to a statement by the Office of the Attorney General, the court sentenced the first and second defendants to six years in prison, imposed fines totaling 997,207 dinars, and ordered them to repay 489,603 dinars. The court also sentenced the third through sixth defendants to three years and one month in prison. In addition, in absentia rulings were issued against the seventh and eighth defendants, sentencing each of them to four years in prison.
