CHERAS: Police have crippled a drug syndicate trafficking ecstasy pills via WeChat app following the arrest of three individuals in two separate raids in Klang Valley two days ago. District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon said police got their break after detaining a 31-year-old man at a condominium in Taman Shamelin Perkasa at 10.50am. "From these two raids, we seized 6.7kg of powdery substance believed to be ecstasy, 1,802 ecstasy pills, 270kg of ecstasy in liquid-form and 80 sticks of ganja-laced cigarettes. “Also seized were a Proton Persona car, RM26,300 in cash and foreign currencies worth RM4,181." Initial investigations revealed the group sold their products using the WeChat messaging app.
