Three men have been sent to jail for the violent beating and death of a man over a small unpaid debt. Walker said the men carried out the callous beating over a “relatively small” debt owed to a third party. He noted that Ramos’ death was not solely attributable to the beating as he had underlying health conditions. He sentenced Kingi to four years and two months in jail. Ramos did not pay in full and when the debt remained unpaid two days later the woman contacted Kingi.
