One of Trillanes’ lawyers, former University of the Philippines law dean Pacifico Agabin, said the senator enjoyed immunity from arrest while Congress was in session under the 1987 Constitution. But when reminded that Congress was in the middle of session, Agabin said the senator could not be arrested.
