Tributes paid to former Penarth Times correspondent Gwyneth Jones


Mrs Jones lived at 15 Earl Road, Penarth, from 1955, when she moved to the town with her new husband from Pontypridd. He said his mother was brought up in a religious household and carried on going to church when moving to Penarth. (Image: Picture: Rob Jones)She attended Tabernacle Baptist Church on Plassey Street, Penarth, from 1955 to 2021 when her health deteriorated. She contributed a religious column to the Penarth Times for many years, writing under the pen name of Phoebe. Mrs Jones' funeral will be held on October 5 with cremation in Barry first followed later by a memorial service at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Plassey Street, Penarth.
