more-inSeveral families who were evacuated from three villages in Rapur mandal 12 years ago have expressed their concern over what they described as land grab by outsiders in their rehabilitation village at Aakilavalasa by tampering land records. In 2005, nearly 450 families were evacuated from Lingapalem, Obulayapalli and Suddamalla villages in Rapur mandal after their village faced submergence problem under the Kandaleru reservoir. No responseAs the online revenue records showed different persons being in possession of their lands, the families duly made representations to officials for redressal of their grievance but there has been no immediate response positively. Accompanied by several leaders of the Jana Sena Party here, these families made a representation to Collector R. Mutyala Raju seeking restoration of their land from the grabbers. They said that the tampering of records surfaced during the 5th phase of the Janmabhoomi programme.
