Hawke's Bay's top sheep dog trialists of 2016 were immediately in form as the new season started at the Waikoau club trials last Friday and Saturday. Dave Wallace, who dominated last season with top heading dog Blue, picked off the short head and yard title with Slug. Mr Chrystal says the centre is overwhelmed with the support of farmers providing sheep in the tough and hot conditions.
