Daniel Minogue, pictured in 2014, is on trial in the High Court in Christchurch on a raft of charges including rape, assault, kidnapping and theft. The trial for Daniel Waaka Minogue began in the High Court in Christchurch on Monday. The woman will tell the trial that Minogue told her she would be dead before the men could get to her, Crown prosecutor Kerry White said in her opening address to the jury. The trial, before Justice Christine Grice and a jury, is expected to last the week, with the Crown calling evidence from 10 witnesses. The woman told of a later incident where he had used her bank card without her permission.
