Trevor is Foreman of the Year at Bus Éireann awardsLocal man Trevor Finneran has been named Foreman of the Year by Bus Éireann for his work on the new electric bus service in the town, the first in Ireland. Athlone’s Trevor Finneran was recognised with the prestigious ‘Foreman of the Year’ award a testament to his character, professionalism, and collaboration with his colleagues. Trevor’s management described his contribution as “key to the success of the operation of electric vehicles in Athlone, Ireland's first fully electric bus service”. The Athlone electric town service was launched in January 2023 following investment of €10 million by the National Transport Authority (NTA).
