(Jim McIsaac/Getty Images)NEW YORK — After hitting .357 and slugging .571 in 28 August games, Trea Turner was named the National League rookie of the month. Turner is the third National to receive the award, joining Bryce Harper, who won it twice, and Ryan Church. His 27 runs were a franchise rookie record for one month, too. Over the last month and a half, Turner has cemented himself atop the Nationals order with a .367 on-base percentage and more power than most expected from him so soon.
