OTTAWA—While he was rehabilitating his shoulder, Maple Leafs defenceman Travis Dermott watched his team struggle without him and heard the ever-growing criticism of the team’s defence. “We worry about our room and care about what the people in here say.” Dermott says the Leafs’ defence is better than its given credit for. “He’s good on the offensive-zone blue line and getting better in his own zone.
