Ethiopian Airlines and Airbus celebrated the delivery of the 10th Airbus A350 at a colorful event held in the presence of ambassadors, Ethiopian group CEO and executive management members, high-ranking delegates from Airbus and Rolls Royce, and invited guests. The new aircraft increases Ethiopian fleet to 111 young aircraft with average fleet age of less than five years. In his opening speech at the colorful event, Tewolde GebreMariam, Group CEO, Ethiopian Airlines remarked, “We took delivery of our first A350 in June 2016, and in less than 2 years and half we are now celebrating the 10th one. He said, “The delivery of this 10th A350 brings the number of Rolls Royce powered wide-body aircraft in Ethiopian to 20 aircraft, making it our largest operator alongside South African Airways. Every time I land in Addis, it is with enormous pride I see a long row of new, wide-body aircraft in Ethiopian colors powered by Rolls Royce engines.”
