Under the directive, the Trat Provincial MECC is coordinating with state agencies, including Laem Ngop marine police station, the Marine Department’s regional office in Trat, and the Trat Area Excise Office, to ramp up inspections of vessels passing through their jurisdiction. While nearing the resort island of Koh Kood off the coast of Trat, crews were alerted to hostilities near the Thai-Cambodian border by local officials. Officials also briefed crews on maritime risk areas, urging heightened vigilance to prevent unintended navigation into hazardous waters.
