To press home their demands, workers stopped driving vehicles on five routes, namely Sunamganj, Derai, Jagannnathpur, Jamalganj, and Chattak from early on Tuesday. Md Alamin, who visited Sunamganj from Savar, vented his frustration saying that he came to the bus terminal to return to Dhaka. Nurul Amin, another driver, said: “We will go for tougher movements if the government does not amend the existing transport act.'' Sub inspector (SI) Jahangir Alom of Sunamganj Model police station said: ''We took position in front of the central bus terminal after being informed of the strike.
