Police suggest victim was murdered by a close acquaintanceKARACHI : A case against unidentified suspects has been registered for the murder of a transgender person, who was found dead in her apartment in Tariq Road’s Dupatta Gali on Saturday night. The transgender person was murdered with a sharp-edged weapon, found from the crime scene, police officials said. Body of the transgender person, who lived alone at the apartment, bore torture marks on head, face and arms among other parts, suggesting sign of struggle before the murder. Transgender person ‘gang-raped, videotaped’ in PeshawarSpeaking to The Express Tribune, the Ferozabad SHO said, “the transgender person was murdered by an acquaintance.” The deceased also had a fight prior to the murder, during which her hair were also chopped down, he added. Suspects had locked and left the injured transgender person inside the apartment, said the SHO, adding that excessive bleeding resulted in her death.
