(Carlo Allegri/Reuters)A person who is transgender was attacked after leaving a fundraiser for victims of the Orlando shooting, and FBI agents and police in Seattle are investigating the incident as a hate crime, authorities said. A sign of support is left with other mementos at a vigil following the Pulse nightclub shootings in Orlando. The fundraiser in Seattle was intended to raise money for those affected by the June 12 massacre at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Police said they would have an “increased and visible presence” for the events connected with the city’s upcoming Pride festival. In a statement, Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole condemned the assault and said no resource would be spared identifying the assailant.
