Transforming ideas into actionI have always been fascinated with the exchange of ideas, the debate of issues, the search of viable approaches to development and the passion of advocacies. There are not too many opportunities to engage in such exhilarating experience in a formal setting in the Philippines. One is therefore fortunate to be part of the MAP Agribusiness and Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. where on a weekly basis, a diverse group meet, discuss, debate and form linkages that push forward ideas into concrete results for community empowerment and development. Such new approaches should make the foundation’s contribution to the development of Philippine society and economy dramatically increase for the betterment of all Filipinos. Established in 2005 through the initiative and leadership of MAP stalwart Ramon K. Ilusorio (member since 1976), the MAP ABCD Foundation has held an average of 44 meetings annually since 2005.
