The Trans Mountain pipeline has been shut down in Surrey, B.C., while crews investigate an odour complaint and a gasoline-like substance found in a ditch. The pipeline has been turned off as a precautionary measure and the company is monitoring the situation from the air, according to a statement from Trans Mountain. The odour was reported in the area of Douglas Road and Kalmar Road in North Surrey. Morris said there was no way for fire officials to verify where the product came from, and at that point they contacted Trans Mountain. Trans Mountain said in a statement that their crews have found no evidence the source of the product is their pipeline.
