A trainee journalist of a newspaper was allegedly heckled by a Delhi University deputy proctor, who refuted the allegations, saying it as a case of mistaken identity. Deputy Proctor Swasti Alpana, against whom the allegations were raised, said she mistook the trainee journalist for a Delhi University Student's Union (DUSU) member, who was clicking her photographs without her permission. Another journalist who witnessed the entire incident alleged that despite informing them about our identity, two deputy proctors including Swasti Alpana never stopped heckling at the trainee journalist. The deputy proctor saw this and snatched the phone and started screaming at the her," the journalist alleged. After the discussions, the members of the students' union allegedly broke flower pots and vandalised the property for delaying the issue.
