Acting on a tip-off, a team of Detective Branch (North) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested the ticket scalper identified as Rutam Ali alias Jahangir, 47, on Friday. A case has been lodged against the scalper with the Kotwali police station in this connection. Earlier sale of tickets remained suspended on Wednesday for some time at the Chittagong Railway Station due to a technical glitch in the server of the firm responsible for the station's computer networking system, causing immense suffering to the passengers. A large crowd was seen at the scene, standing in long queues to collect tickets.
