The Burimari Express train has been recovered five hours after it derailed in the Muladuli area of Pabna’s Ishurdi, reports bdnews24.com. Rail service was restored around 8:10am on Thursday, said Shah Sufi Nur Mohammad, divisional railway manager of Paksey in the West Zone. A carriage of the Burimari Express heading from Lalmonirhat to Dhaka derailed 2km from Muladuli Station around 3am on Thursday, severing rail service from northern Bangladesh to the capital. Rail official Nur Mohammad said, “After the accident, a relief train from Ishurdi came and began rescue efforts. After five hours of effort, the rail line was cleared at 8:10am.”Asked about the cause of the accident, he said, “Initially, we believe that the train derailed due to a technical problem with the train wheels.”
