But the first trailer was released this week after its showing at CinemaCon and the conversation changed. It's difficult to determine how successful a trailer was just by looking at buzz without actually checking the hard data. In fact, the trailer was so well-received that its 197 million views smashes the previous 24-hour first day record held by Universal's The Fate of the Furious by 58 million views. The trailer for that film generated 139 million views in its first 24 hours after release. To that point, the It trailer was sitting at a whopping 246 million views.
