Tragedy as woman dies after release from Flockton's New Hall prisonKirsty Wilson-Foster, 35, found alone in property by West Yorkshire PoliceView Image HMP New Hall, FlocktonA vulnerable woman whose life was blighted by drug use was found dead the day after she was released from New Hall prison at Flockton, near Huddersfield. ‌While at New Hall, Kirsty told staff that she would usually spend around £80 per day on heroin and that she also used diazepam. While in prison she tested positive for a number of drugs including cocaine, crack cocaine and opiates. ‌The Ombudsman concluded that Kirsty's community offender manager had made adequate preparations for her release from prison. ‌"Prison staff made appropriate referrals to the community drug and alcohol service to ensure Ms Foster received continued support once released.
