Detectives are investigating an incident where a 29-year-old man killed his wife and daughter before taking his own life in a village in Madogo, Tana River county. The bodies of his wife and one-year-old daughter were found lying in the room too, police said of the February 22 incident. He then allegedly summoned his wife who the neighbours said had been having domestic quarrels with him, for talks. Suicide has been one of the leading causes of death in the latest worrying trend. Other reasons are bullying, previous suicide attempts, history of suicide in a family, alcoholism and substance misuse, depression and bipolar disorder.
