Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to Gosforth Park First School, Newcastle upon Tyne, on Friday afternoon following the incident at around 1pm. Paramedics attended and the girl was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary by road with an air ambulance doctor on board. A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At 1.15pm yesterday (Friday) we received a report that a child had been struck by a falling tree at Gosforth Park First School. “Emergency services attended the scene and the six-year-old girl was taken to hospital.
