Traffic is moving again after ground crew workers on strike at Toronto Pearson International Airport blocked access to Terminal 1 and 3 and caused backups coming in to the airport. Peel police said demonstrators left the area around 7 p.m. after some of them had made their way onto the roads, which caused traffic to back up on Hwy. Mark Fischer said the traffic started backing up around 1 p.m. and it had gotten increasingly worse around 5 p.m. He said the backup got so bad that some people got out of their cars and began walking on the road to the airport. Pearson confirmed that the demonstrators left the airport and were no longer blocking the terminals.
