Traffic chaos in Auckland after car fire, breakdownsGemma Blanch The car fire which ignited on Auckland's southern motorway on Friday afternoon caused major delays for holiday commuters. Traffic on Friday afternoon was heavy along the southern motorway for southbound motorists after a car fire at Papakura. NZTA Traffic cameras at Greenlane on the southern motorway show gridlock traffic in both directions. NZTA Southbound traffic is heavy at Redoubt Rd but free flowing for northbound traffic. Sitting in Auckland traffic since I clocked off Midday news.
