Traffic builds ahead of Waitangi weekendCHRIS SKELTON/FAIRFAX NZ Holidaymakers fleeing Auckland for Waitangi weekend are already facing delays. State Highway 1, near Puhoi north of Auckland, was blocked on Friday afternoon after a car flipped, leaving a person with moderate injuries. NZTA The New Zealand Transport Agency's traffic cameras showed congestion building on Auckland's southern motorway, near Greenlane, at 4.30pm. In the Wellington area, cars were expected to clog State Highway 1 at Waikanae on the Kapiti Coast, and State Highway 2 on Rimutaka Hill between Wellington and Featherston. Christchurch motorists were being warned to expect delays on State Highway 1 at Waipara, north of the city.
