KOTA KINABALU: A grandmother in Penampang, who has been using a traditional sago processing method for decades, recently got her grandchildren to learn it. As for the remaining trunk residue, it will be collected and turned into feed for pigs. Jane made her grandchildren walk about a kilometre into their farm and jungle to find the rumbia trees. They have been brought up learning about our traditional way of life,” Jane added. “We would have lunch, change into our work clothes and head into the jungle, farm or padi field to do what is needed.
