Mr Rujipat quoted his suppliers as saying the Middle East war had disrupted fertiliser shipments and that prices would increase. On Sunday evening, Commerce spokesman Nantapong Chiralerspong said Thailand had a store of 1.52 million tonnes of chemical fertiliser in January. Thailand could also buy additional supplies of fertiliser from Malaysia and Brunei to compensate for delays in deliveries from the Middle East, Mr Nantapong said.
