Share:ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s trade deficit has swelled by about $5 billion in just one month, showing the external sector of the economy is under pressure. The country’s trade imbalance was recorded at $4.95 billion in November as imports have once again surpassed the exports. Imports have massively increased to $7.85 billion as against $2.9 billion exports in previous month, leaving trade deficit at $4.95 billion. The government is facing challenge of current account deficit, which is widening after every month mainly due to increase in imports. It added that exports of goods and services, according to BOP data, ended just below the 3 billion USD mark in October.
