KOTA BARU: The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry will be monitoring hypermarket and supermarket operators taking part in the year-end sales (YES) to ensure they did not violate trade regulations. Its director Datuk Abdul Ghani Harun said the ministry's enforcement officers would conduct round-the-clock operation to nab errant operators. "The YES campaign which started last month will end in December. So far, a total of 31 operators are taking part in the campaign, giving as much as 70 per cent discount on goods sold at their premises. Abdul Ghani said the ministry has yet to receive reports of operators short-changing customers during the YES campaign.
