Photo: Bloomberg NewsToyota Industries Corp. is acquiring Bastian Solutions LLC, an Indianapolis-based warehouse automation and robotics developer, as the Japanese manufacturer looks to enter the U.S. logistics market. Toyota Industries makes forklifts and other heavy machinery. It is a minority shareholder in Toyota Motor Corp. but the two operate as separate companies. Minnesota-based 3M Co. bought supply chain technology company HighJump Software Inc. in 2004, to improve supply chain operations and visibility, but later sold it to a private equity firm.
