Town of Taber votes down group's bid to fly Pride flag

The Town of Taber has voted to deny a request by an LGBTQ group to fly a Pride flag on a community flag pole. It will be used to fly only the Alberta, Canadian or Town of Taber flag. Smaller Pride flags, left, were placed at the bottom of the flagpole in Confederation Park in Taber after a Pride flag flying there was burned in June 2017. "We look forward to the Taber Pride Celebration occurring in June, and wish the Taber Equality Alliance every success for their event." On a day all about Mental Health, the town of Taber has refused to fly the Pride Flag.
