Tourist's stunt on Brazilian cliff induces 'heebie jeebies'

She is one of many to have attempted the stunt, but a female tourist has given many online "the heebie jeebies" for posing on a cliff edge nearly 3000 feet (900 metres) above a Brazilian beach. The video, first shared in November 2019 and recently picked up by international news sites, has attracted mixed comments on social media, with many saying it made them feel anxious. One of Rio's most prominent landmarks, Pedra Da Gavea attracts hordes of tourists intent on seeing the panoramic views across the city, Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon beaches and Tijuca Forest. "It's an attraction for visiting hipsters and thrill seekers," one social media user wrote. The "demanding" three-hour trek to the top of Pedra Da Gavea is considered "the most difficult trail it town," the Brazilian Tourism website says.
