The broadcast was shown via a large LCD screen installed in the downtown area of Hat Yai district as well as in other sites on Sanehanusorn Road and the Chaturas Nakhon Plaza. The general public as well as tourists gathered to watch the historic ceremony. Some tourists appeared very interested in the broadcast and offered condolences to the Thai people. LCD screens around Hat Yai town that normally featured advertising clips also shifted programming to the ceremony's live broadcast.
