An institute specializing in tourism and hospitality training was inaugurated on Friday, December 18, in Dakhla. Built over a surface area of 20,000 square meters and having cost $4.78 million, the institute is meant to strengthen the vocational training system in the Dakhla Oued Eddahab Region, and adapt the training offer to the demand of the region’s labor market. It will strengthen employability and promote the socio-professional integration of young people in the region. The Office for Vocational Training and Job Promotion (OFPPT) will manage the institute which offers 11 specialized courses on hotel and tourism professions such as hotel management, cooking, catering… and can ensure the training of more than 1,000 trainees per year in different specialties. She said the institute is equipped with top-notch facilities to provide high-quality training for local youth.
