Toukh locals carry water for those at the accident site at dusk to break their fast - Press phtoCAIRO - 18 April 2021: Locals in Toukh have shown exemplary chivalry at the of the train accident in their town, with hundreds flocking to donate their blood to the victims and distributing water and meals to those still at the site at dusk when Muslims break their long fast from dawn during Ramadan. In Benha and Qalyub, nearby cities where the injured have been transferred to be treated, locals also went in large numbers to the hospitals to donate blood. A total of 11 people were killed and 98 injured in the Sunday derailment of the train in Egypt's Delta. This is the third train accident in a month. On Wednesday, a train derailed in Sharqia governorate, which was also bound from Cairo to Mansoura, but no deaths occurred.
