Tottenham stars Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen are all out of contract in the summer, and more players could follow them out the exit door if the club don’t show initiative to replace them. That is the view of former Leeds, Manchester City and England defender Danny Mills, who reckons fans should be worried about losing more than just the three players mentioned. Mills told Football Insider: “The worry is that Alderweireld was happy to leave, Jan Vertonghen was allegedly happy to leave, Danny Rose almost left the club, called back at the 11th hour, Eriksen has said he wants to leave – that’s four big players. “If you lose those, how much do you have to spend to replace them? If you don’t, what does Harry Kane, what does Dele Alli think, what does Heung-min Son think?
