Arsenal ’s plan to sign Cedric Soares could materialise now Tottenham defender Kyle Walker-Peters has joined Southampton on loan. The Spurs academy graduate penned a six-month loan deal at St Mary’s as he look to gain more game time in the Premier League. Arsenal have been trying to sign Southampton full-back Cedric but St Mary’s chiefs have been reluctant to let the Portuguese leave. However, Express Sport understands that Southampton will now let Cedric leave in a £5million switch to Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have been keen to strengthen in defence this window and announced the loan signing of centre-back Pablo Mari on Wednesday.
